LGIS maintains a system of review and evaluation for determining qualified Internationally Coded Trainers. The process is pretty much straightforward :

  1. Three Performance Scores are summed up: PS1 for Trainers Effectiveness, PS2 for Results of Post-Test and the value assessed for the results of the RPL.

The first one to be evaluated corresponds to the results of PS1:

  1. 1 PS1 refers to the results of the evaluation of the Trainers Effectiveness in his/her virtual classroom. The performance in 12 Domains is appraised. Some of these Domains include Instructional Approach, Visual Design, Interactivity, Use of Instruction and Assessment. Each domain is measured anywhere between 5-10 Quality Characteristics. AND COMPLETED DELIVERABLES. The next to be evaluated is the -
  2. 2 PS2 PS3 for the results of the 50-minute medium stake Pre Test AND POST TEST which is run using an AI-enabled Test Administration System.
  3. 3 Recognition of Prior Learning.

All Performance Scores from PS1, PS2 to PS3 and RPL are summed up and divided by the Total Achievable Possible Scores to determine the Trainers Performance Value. A Grade Reference Table is used to identify the Level of Trainers Qualification.

The ICT Evaluation and Coding System is strictly enforced to ensure its reliability, validity and independence in all the assessments carried out to determine the ICT’s Order of Merit.

Results of evaluation are verified by LGIS Chief Verification Officer and submitted to International Qualification Council, an independent body that deliberates on the results as well as the process through which the ICT evaluation is carried out.

IF results of evaluation and verification are found to conform to the standards of the Council, results of the 3rd tier level of evaluation of the International Qualification Council are presented in a report called Order of Merit. The Council normally publishes its report within 7 calendar days from date of receipt.

The Order of Merit is an award of distinct qualification obtained through the demonstration and display of meritorious performance and exceptional achievements in specific Qualifications administered by LGIS. The Order of Merit describes the level of qualifications the Trainer has achieved and for which a distinct merit is awarded.

The highest level of recognition as a Coded Trainer is the Order of Merit given to a Master Trainer. There are several Levels a Coded Trainer may aspire for and each level depicts recognition of the Trainers achievements, his skillsets and capabilities and domains of competencies.

While the Order of Merit prescribes no expiry period on the Level of a coded trainer to be considered valid, however, a Coded Trainer has to demonstrate life-long learning achievements and dedication to continuing professional development.

Who are eligible to be coded in the Order of Merits? There are at least four requirements:

  1. Only those who are able to successfully complete any of the required modalities of coding;
  2. Only those who have demonstrated at least a Level 1 performance in international qualification or proficiency examinations;
  3. Those who have demonstrated “Satisfactory” performance in leading and handling virtual teaching and learning processes in a trainer’s virtual classroom; and By reason of recognition of prior learning.
